Recognizing Youth and Future Leaders:

The Alexis Chiefs Future Leader Award - Given once a year to an Youth (age 12 to 20) who exemplifies commitment, hard work, and dedication to raising the awareness and importance of striving to achieve academic excellence. The top two recipients in each male & female will be nominated by respective Educational Institute or Program by written letter, and if possible presented by Representative of the organization.

Drug & Alcohol Sobriety Award:

The “Otan Manim” Award given once a year to individual who has abstained from the use of drug and/or alcohol and who brings awareness to others about the dangers of alcohol and drug usage to the family circle. Recipients consisting of one male & female (if possible) are nominated by the community members.

Recognizing Volunteers:

The “Ucagibi Washdineca” Award – Given once a year to recipients whom have generously given their time and energy, and good works toward others and sets an example of living one of the true values of the Alexis Nakota Sioux People. Two recipients, male & female will be nominated by all community members.
