Mark your calendar for next year's Annual Community Pow-wow Celebrations - July 8 - 10, 2016
Our annual pow-wow is a community celebration that fosters wellness, pride and self-esteem in our nation. It is one of the most highlighted events of the year and our people look forward to this celebration.
Public Relations Day was established to improve communication between Leadership and Band Members.
Purpose: The purpose of this forum is to connect Leadership and Band Members on a regular basis. Band Members can request information directly from leaders and also offer feedback to the leadership on community activities, new projects, band policies, programs and services (existing or new), employment and sponsorship opportunities, etc.
Band Staff Session: A positive way to communicate, share information and get instant feedback on relevant issues.
Treaty Talks: The intent of Treaty Talks is to facilitate discussion on the band’s inherent and existing Treaty Rights. Every month, we invite Knowledge Keepers and Special Guests to share their experiences and information.
“Treaties are living, international agreements, which remain valid today and continue to affirm our self-determination. We are and always have been original Nations that have never relinquished our title, rights, language, culture, and governance by way of Treaty to the British Crown or the successor state of Canada.”
FORMAT: Held Every Last Monday of the Month at the Band Hall.
